YOUR columnist Damien Enright wrote beautifully (Irish Examiner, February 21) about the dilemma of enjoying the natural world while contemplating political inaction in the face of environmental threats.

As the annual wonder that is spring unfolds, environmental problems can seem remote. The rainforest is far away and sea levels may take a couple of generations to rise.

But climate change is different.
