Not fair to princess

WHILE I agree with much of what Terry Prone has to say about the reaction of the British media to the wedding of Charles and Camilla (Irish Examiner, April 9), I feel she has been unnecessarily hard on Princess Diana.

Not fair to princess

As someone who was involved in voluntary work with people affected by HIV/AIDS in the 1980s, I will always remember Princess Di as the first public figure to show it was acceptable to visit in hospital and hug people who were at that time shunned by family, friends and many in the medical profession.
