There’s no sense to post office closure

I WRITE in connection with the closure of Whitechurch Post Office in Co Cork. There was no notice, no apology and no expression of concern for the inconvenience caused.

In the particular circumstances of this case I am disgusted by the insensitivity of the timing of the closure.

A spokesperson for An Post claims that service will resume shortly. If this is the case why was it closed down at all? Pubs, factories and corporations change hands every day without having to close down.
