Dangerous circle

WHO is responsible for safety at the Dunkettle roundabout near Cork city? It has to be the most dangerous roundabout in Ireland and it is a frightening experience for many motorists.

At most times of the day you put your life at risk, especially if you are coming south on the N8 from the Dublin direction and intend using the Jack Lynch Tunnel.

On numerous occasions, I have joined the long early morning queue and accidents have just been avoided by inches as frustrated motorists await the slightest gap and then make a dash for it.
