‘Thinking Fianna Fáiler’ frightened by Rabbitte

NOEL Whelan, (Irish Examiner, Sept 11) is always amusing as an indicator of how and why the thinking Fianna Fáiler is frightened by Pat Rabbitte.

In this case, having rapped the Labour leader on the knuckles for cosying up to the unions, he hopes, somewhat forlornly, that Mr Rabbitte will act as a whipper-in for the coalition in getting the unions on side.

Anybody who attended the Labour Party conference in Killarney earlier this year could be in no doubt where Pat Rabbitte stands.
