The rail line from Limerick to Waterford has a catchment area of thousands of students and workers who would use the train to travel home at weekends, but it only runs Monday to Saturday.

Ireland’s transport needs would be met faster and cheaper if the Government opted for fewer plans and more action. They could begin with a Sunday service from Limerick to Waterford.
