SF needs to neutralise its own army first

WRITING in the Irish Examiner recently, Gerry Adamsargued that our neutrality should be enshrined in the constitution.

SF needs to neutralise its own army first

Leaving aside the possible merits of such a declaration, this suggestion from him is laughable. We now have a situation where the leader of Sinn Féin the only party in Dáil Eireann with a private army is arguing for our neutrality!

Am I the only one who thinks this is absurd? Sinn Féin's own army refuses to decommission and yet they ask for Irish neutrality!

Sinn Féincould make enormous strides on the democratic and neutrality fronts if they disbanded their private army, . which is explicitly prohibited by the democratically endorsed constitution of this state.

When Sinn Féin ends this hypocrisy, maybe I'll be able to take Gerry Adams seriously on such issues.
