We continue to fund corrupt regimes

HAVING clearly failed to engage the conscience of our political community on the issue, I pose a question for the Irish public.
We continue to fund corrupt regimes

Why does there continue to be no apparent sense of outrage in this country over our tacit support of corrupt regimes in the third world?

I have repeatedly placed incontrovertible evidence of this corruption in front of our political leaders, yet millions of euro of Irish taxpayers' money continues to flow through the hands of African leaders who - routinely - betray and, frequently, brutalise their own people.

Perhaps my repeated expressions of exasperation on this subject have begun to sound tedious to some. If so, I apologise.

Can anybody honestly explain to me why politicians in this country remain so utterly immune to the kind of harrowing evidence that has drawn even the World Bank to issue statements about confronting corrupt governments?

Forgive me for labouring the point, but why on earth do we continue to bank-roll evil?
