Give free vaccines to health students

A FORTNIGHT or so ago an issue arose in connection with the costs associated with the immunisation of student nurses in Dublin.

Following that particular incident a decision was taken that student nurses would not be charged for immunisation.

That decision was totally appropriate, particularly in the same week that the Tánaiste and Minister for Health, Mary Harney, together with her department, the World Health Organisation and the Health Service Executive launched ‘World Immunisation Week’ in Dublin.
