Minister should go

THE Minister for Justice, Michael McDowell, should resign following his unfounded allegations against Sinn Féin.

After the Assembly elections in the North, the DUP and Sinn Féin are the two dominant parties.

They are due to enter very sensitive talks to form a power-sharing executive and a statement like that from the

Justice Minister is like throwing a hand grenade into a minefield.

Mr McDowell’s statement shows the PDs are scared of Sinn Féin after their strong showing in the North and at the last general election. He is now trying to turn voters away from them at the local and European elections next June.
