IRA doesn’t control the peace process

ISN’T it time to abandon the appealingly simple but erroneous notion that the success of the peace process is exclusively dependent on the IRA? We all know why the SDLP is so exuberant in its criticism of republicans.

But is Bertie Ahern worried about Sinn Féin’s success at the polls in the Republic as well? These politicians really should clarify why they’re so anxious to fulfil the insatiable demands of Peace Prize winner David Trimble. Alfred B Nobel must be spinning in his grave.
