Up and under

THE Irish Road Haulage Association did not ask what height the Dublin port tunnel would be because:

Up and under

1 It would have been reasonable to assume that it would be 5.2m (similar to all national/motorway roads).

2 It would be perceived as a silly question.

3 The relevant ministers and officials had more on their minds.

However, given all that has happened in the past few years, and to save a few million on consultants’ fees in the future, could I respectfully ask Transport Minister Seamus Brennan and all concerned what height he proposes to make the Luas stilts across the Red Cow roundabout in Dublin?
