Keep the name

AS an American with deep roots in Ireland who visits the old country every year, I was astounded to hear of an effort by Minister Eamon Ó Cuiv to strike the name of Dingle from the map.

Keep the name

Dingle is a special town known to me and numerous friends for its beauty and the warmth of its people. Why any minister should wish to delete the name is incomprehensible to me.

Many of my Irish friends speak Gaelic, yet have no problem in calling this beautiful place Dingle.
