I am writing on behalf of my family following an article

A man apart

Diarmuid O’Flynn published in the Irish Examiner on October 16.

Mr O'Flynn wrote of his encounters with my late uncle, Connie O'Callaghan, over some years, from being accidentally knocked in the face by him in a hurling match in 1976 to sharing a drink with him in recent weeks.

Our family has suffered a huge loss since Connie lost his battle for life on October 6.
