IN response to Neomie Emmanuel (Irish Examiner letters, November 28), I could not agree more with her in relation to the highly unreliable state of public transport in Cork city.

As a frequent commuter on the 8A service I am only all too aware of the perils of commuting on public transport. A new timetable was introduced for this service on November 21, but it has been a near disaster. The service to Curraheen frequently leaves passengers stranded, frustrated the angry.

Despite numerous representations to Bus Éireann management, passengers have yet to see an improvement.
