THE EU Commission is devious and out of control. The vote on the funding of destructive embryo stem cell research was again postponed because it could not achieve the consensus it needed.

A number of member states are against this type of funding. However, the EU Commission is determined to force this through, even though only nine out of 15,000 submissions were made for this type of funding.

It is deplorable that the Government supports the commission proposal to fund destructive embryo stem cell research.
