Lament for a library
It would seem that the planned library that was to be put in one of Ireland's largest shopping centres is no longer acceptable to some. Cork is presenting itself shortly as a European Capital of Culture and will invest millions. Yet, for a basic requirement for a large segment of its population, the local authority sees fit to discriminate against Bishopstown's cultural needs.
