Walk the walk...

The Oireachtas unanimously passed a motion calling for it. The European Union has said that, if asked, it wouldn’t object to it.

Why then is there such reluctance on the part of ministers to press for full official status in Europe for Irish? And why are we to be faced, this Saturday afternoon, with the shameful spectacle of Irish citizens having to march through Dublin’s streets to press for a status that everyone in authority says they support?
