WELL done to Harry McGee for his excellent article (‘All aboard the gravy plane,’ Irish Examiner, August 23).

It was appalling to read of the trips and junkets undertaken by our TDs and senators, all paid for by the taxpayer.

God be with the real men of my youth. Connolly, Larkin and Dev must be turning in their graves.
