Commemorating the life of a local poet

A COMMITTEE has been set up in Knocknagree to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the death of our local poet, Ned Buckley, who lived from 1880 to 1954. We hope to publish a book of his as yet unpublished material during 2004.

We appeal to anybody who may have poems or newspaper articles, which they would be willing to make available to us for this publication to be as comprehensive as possible. Any material will, of course, be returned.
