Priests praised

IN this age of clergy and religion bashing, I feel compelled publicly to praise and thank our excellent priests and religious, the vast majority of whom are doing wonderful work.

Priests are on call 24 hours per day, quietly doing the work of Christ. At the most difficult times of our lives there is always a priest available and their time is given freely.

We are proud of them.

Let us treat our committed priests and religious with respect and those who may have strayed - the very small minority - with compassion. Let him/her without sin cast the first stone.
