Save the snail while the real issue is bypassed

AT long last the Kildare bypass has been opened, thanks be to God. Isn't it great after all the delay, extra expense and uproar caused over a pink snail.

The pink snail is no doubt a charming creature. But was there any uproar when the Midland Health Board, to their eternal shame, sent a 14 year-old to England to have her 23-week pre-born baby put to death in a British abortuary? The unfortunate mother will have to live with that for the rest of her life.

Endless money to preserve a pink snail. Nothing to save the life of a pre-born baby, made in the image and likeness of God, from being put to death nothing to help the unfortunate teenage mother.
