ASTI officers were widely quoted in the national press in relation to OECD reports. John White, deputy general secretary, wrote an article for the Irish Times dealing with the OECD report.

A special edition of ASTIR, the ASTI journal, dealing with the OECD report, was sent to the 17,000 members of the ASTI, to all TDs and to the press.
