Majority shuns mock republicanism

RUAIRÍ Ó BRÁDAIGH of Republican Sinn Féin (president, no less) should get it through his head that 98% of the people of this island want nothing to do with his mock-republicanism, or with his party's flying the Real and Continuity IRA's flags of convenience.

His letter (Irish Examiner, March 4) portrays an incredible attitude to modern Ireland and a schoolboy's attitude to national self-determination and democracy.

And, as if constitutional politics was beneath contempt, Dublin and London and poor old Belfast are dismissed as awaiting liberation by his soldiers of the revolution.
