Beware of Sinn Féin

THE notion of Sinn Féin in government in the South is enough to frighten any right-minded Irish person, with the exception of the disaffected and unsavoury elements from which the party draws some of its support.

Our democratic institutions would be severely undermined should SF have an involvement in government.

This is borne out by Dan O’Brien of the Economist Intelligent Unit who stated in a recent report that the IRA ceasefire was just a smokescreen to achieve their undemocratic ends. Sinn Féin is a terrorist organisation whose hallmark is the pursuit of crime. Let’s hope political parties here will not be lulled into having them as a coalition partner.
