Don’t ask journalists for the full story

LAST week Justice Minister Michael McDowell gave a talk asking if journalists were setting the agenda, and should they not be reporting on the facts of each story instead.

On RTÉ’s Late Late Show last Friday night, the Danish cartoons controversy was discussed.

There were two people from the Muslim community and two Irish journalists (both of whom had written in favour of showing the cartoons) on the programme.
