Luas puts Dublin on the right track

HAVING travelled on the Luas in Dublin the other day I have to say I was very impressed.

When they say 22 minutes travelling time from Stephens Green to Sandyford Industrial Estate, they really mean it. No messing about.

This will be of great assistance to those who live near the route, and will make a positive impact on Dublin’s traffic gridlock.

The same will apply for the Red Line running from Tallaght to Connolly Station when it’s up and running.

As a northsider I share the frustration felt by all of us that we are being ignored in favour of the wealthier southside.

Recently the Taoiseach said we couldn’t afford a metro to Dublin airport because it would be too costly, yet money can be found for exclusive golf courses and equestrian centres.

Priorities, Mr Ahern!
