Berlusconi should be in jail

PAT Cox was angered at Silvio Berlusconi’s use of words when he compared a German Social Democratic MEP in Strasbourg to a concentration camp guard.

Mr Cox is too polite. I suspect he hasn’t really grasped the seriousness of the situation in Italy, where Berlusconi is guilty of a lot more than calling people rude names.

In fact, it’s Berlusconi who can be likened to a pre-war fascist dictator such as Mussolini, whom he admires, having actual fascists in his government, and exercising a monopoly on media power that makes him the most dangerous man in Europe at this time.
