Expensive roadworks have reverse effect

DOES anyone in the Cork city council roads department have a whit of commonsense?

Expensive roadworks have reverse effect

After spending a fortune on road ‘improvements’ on Donnybrook Hill, the traffic situation has greatly disimproved. There are long queues climbing the hill out of Douglas where before it was relatively clear and now, with the introduction of the bus lane, the situation descending the hill into the village is much worse than before.

It is unacceptable to have spent a huge amount on these works - including what must have been a considerable sum on the very elaborate new wall at the top of Shamrock Lawn - only to make a bad situation worse.
