Ex-offenders’ centre is a threat to my town

SOME say it is un-Christian to object to an ex-offenders’ centre in Sligo. I say it is more Christian to say ‘no’ than to be a silent opponent.

Instead of solving crime problems the do-gooders who want this centre here would only be adding fuel to the fire.

The centre would be only a stone’s throw from the Ursuline Convent secondary college for girls. They would have to pass it twice a day and their safety would be at risk.
