LIMITED OFFERWhile the Citizens’ Assembly on Drug Use has done the nation a great favour with its mature and considered recommendations, it ultimately did not — albeit by a tiny margin — go for broke and endorse the decriminalisation of cannabis.
The 100 members of the assembly, having met over the course of many months now and having heard from multiple medical, legal, and social experts, ultimately advocated the ending of the current system of prosecuting those caught with cannabis for their own personal use.
