Hollywood actor Ray Liotta never won an Oscar although he produced some of the indelible performances in movie history. 

After his riveting portrayal of the mafioso Henry Hill in Martin Scorsese’s Goodfellas, he eschewed further gangster parts and turned down  The Sopranos.
