Next greenway please

Waterford’s Greenway, a spectacular 46km all-weather cycling-and-walking trail that stretches from Waterford city to the coastal town of Dungarvan is a resounding success.

Since it opened in March, 247,545 people have used it, 105,639 walked at least a part of the route and another 141,906 visitors used bicycles to see the River Suir, Mount Congreve Gardens, and Kilmacthomas, while crossing 11 bridges.

The satisfaction rating could hardly be higher. More than nine out of 10 visitors rated the experience as either good or excellent. For 70% of visitors, the scenery and nature were the most impressive aspect.
