Minister gives lesson in harmful cuts
The cutback in teaching staff will impinge on about 500 schools which, consequently, will experience an increase in the teacher-pupil ratio, despite denials to the contrary by the Department of Education.
Because there will be 300 fewer concessionary teachers, in comparison to last year’s 1,000, the pupils who will be most affected are those children who have special needs.
