Sexual health - Youth must be warned of dangers

The National AIDS Strategy Committee has called for a national study to be undertaken on sexual attitudes and practices in this country in line with similar studies being conducted elsewhere in the European Union.

It says such a study is necessary in order to develop a proper sexual health awareness campaign.

A spokesperson for the National Disease Surveillance Centre (NDSC) has warned of an “extremely worrying” increase in sexually transmitted infections and HIV cases.
