Migrant labour - Workers must be protected

THERE has been a veritable explosion of migrant workers coming to this country looking for employment since the explosion of the Celtic Tiger economy.

A report to be published this week notes that there are workers from 60 different countries employed by tourist-related concerns in Killarney. It is as if history is being turned around.

For over 150 years, Irish people have been migrating all over the globe. Now the process is being reversed and people are coming to this country in search of a better life.
