Morris Tribunal - State should fund costs of McBreartys

THE State’s stubborn refusal to cover the legal costs of the McBrearty family, the whistle blowers in the Donegal garda scandal, is perplexing.

Their complaints of garda harassment led to the Morris tribunal which to date has exposed a web of cover-ups, lies and corruption in the force.

It would be a travesty if the citizens responsible for bringing this appalling scenario to light have to take their case to the European Court of Human Rights to ensure justice is done.
