Crisis pregnancies - Text service shows need for sex education
Today is no exception as statistics from the national Crisis Pregnancy Agency show it is receiving more than 95,500 mobile phone text messages a year.
Indeed, since the Positive Options text service was offered on a pilot basis just two years ago, more than 191,000 text messages have been received by the agency, mainly from women aged between 15 and 30. Though the service was not widely advertised until last spring, the calls have flooded in from women genuinely concerned about their condition.
