Court claims overshadows Sinn Féin launch

Sinn Féin’s election spending proposals have been overshadowed by claims it wants to repeal anti-gangland laws and overhaul Dáil elections to put its “cronies” in power.

The party’s election manifesto launch was clouded by Gerry Adams’ continued suggestion that the non-jury Special Criminal Court should be abolished.

The party has come under fire for the suggestion, which is included in its manifesto.
