Ireland’s debt masters have said the Government must rein in its runaway health budget if it is to continue reaching its bailout targets.

As the latest review of Ireland’s bailout yesterday began, the troika singled out Health Minister James Reilly and demanded that he strengthen the financial management of his depar-tment.

The latest figures show the health overspend reached €374m by the end of September, compared with €329m at end the end of August.
