Camille O’Sullivan performs contemporary songs with emotional depth on her new CD, Changeling, writes Carl Dixon.

Album of modern classics

BY turns playful, sensuous, witty and darkly melancholy, singer Camille O’Sullivan has used her dusky voice, finely-honed dramatic timing and sense of fun to carve out a notable international reputation.

Whilst her prominence is based to a degree on her intense and emotional interpretations of a range of songs from Weimar cabaret through Nina Simone to David Bowie, it is her spectacular live shows which gives free rein to her instinctive ability to intrigue, move and tease the audience.
