Putting wildlife in the picture

Rónán McLaughlin’s photographic calendar will help restore Cobh’s Old Yacht Club, writes Tina O’Sullivan

Putting wildlife in the picture

WILDLIFE enthusiast Rónán McLaughlin is the talent behind the A Year in Cuskinny Marsh 2012 calendar. Sirius Arts Centre is currently hosting a collection of photographic work by McLaughlin in conjunction with their sale of the calendar, which will raise funds for the centre and the restoration of the Old Yacht Club Building in Cobh, where it is housed.

McLaughlin has lived in Cobh and worked as a naval officer for the past 18 years. Documenting the wildlife on the nature reserve on the Great Island for 12 months was a perfect fit for his interests.
