Election letter: So Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael are to tie the knot?

If the polls are anything to go by it looks like the electorate in their wisdom are ready to force a marriage of Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael as the only viable government after February 26.

It may not turn out to be a very happy one or even a gay one, it may even require a marriage counsellor from time to time.

I’m sure Fr McVerry or Fr Darcy can be on hand to help them through the difficult periods! We all know their policies are similar and are now in the same space ideologically when it comes to running the economy.

It would help if we had less of the arrogance from the party leaders attempting to dictate the outcome by their posturing.

The electorate will ultimately decide and as is oft stated we will get the government we deserve.
