Abortion isn’t the solution

The two issues are different. One was a civil rights issue based solely on sexual orientation. Abortion refers to a mother and the unborn child, a child that all going well, will be born. Some people argue for abortion in certain circumstances eg in cases of rape and fatal foetal abnormalities.
However, as a survivor of sexual abuse, two wrongs never make a right. It is imperative that people ask general election candidates where they stand on this issue. This issue is too important to fudge. While Ireland is a shining light in our attitudes to same- sex marriage, we now have the chance to be another beacon.
