We can’t concrete over the countryside

You are to be congratulated for your excellent coverage of the flooding on the west bank of the River Shannon down stream of Killaloe.

One has sympathy for the owners of long established premises who suffer due to the flooding.

However, newly-built super concrete structures, such as the new university, are contributing to the flooding problem as the water absorbing soil has been eliminated.
