It’s not Christmas for the ordinary people who see no end to austerity

Dear Santy.
It’s not Christmas for the ordinary people who see no end to austerity

You are a little bit late coming to Ireland this year. All the big boys have gotten large gifts during the year and all that is left now for the little boys and girls Santy is whatever is at the end of the bag.

Santy, my good old friend, you have been upstaged by the IFA who gave millions to those who sat at their top tables , the bankers gave each other large payouts while Mother Nama simply gave away property portfolios to those who nodded in her direction .

And sadly some folk were blinded by the sterling and never saw the hidden cameras and shot themselves in the foot. Such was the greed. Meanwhile those elected to office seem to suffer collective amnesia as to how to fill in a simple form detailing what property they own or is being managed by third parties for them.Oh dear Santy, Ireland has become a very very strange country where we are told by Uisce Eireann that water is a scarce commodity and the whole bloody country is flooded. Ye sadly we are asked to pay for water.

Meanwhile we are being told our country is doing well yet Santy you will see hundreds sleeping in our streets, elderly patients left on hospital trolleys, a health service in tatters but of course our Enda has all the answers and he wants “to just re-elect him to carry on”. Maybe you should oppose him and run for election Santy to make Ireland a better country where the poorest in society get the presents ”.
