NAMA has to work on regional development

How we spend money collected from taxpayers should not be the decision of a Dublincentric quango but should be subject to an All Ireland group involving all the provinces.
It is such an insular approach which has led to the overdevelopment of Dublin at the expense of the other cities and towns around the country.
Having unelected quangos responsible for spending millions of taxpayers money is not helping our democracy.
The bulk of the country’s population is in Dublin as that is where most of the new jobs but we must try and ensure that jobs are spread around to rebalance this. Government driven building projects like NAMA should be at the forefront of this. We must do more to ensure a level playing field for all the country.
