Irish speakers not to blame for garda failures

One reason that the law insists that certain documents should be written in Irish as well as in English is a response to the desire of the Irish people that the Irish language be used as widely as possible.

People have demonstrated their desire to widen the use of Irish in various referendums.

Those who speak Irish, and those who support its use, need the support of the Government through its various institutions.
