It cannot be possible Daniel Teegan (Letters, July 4) believes that a one state solution in the Middle East was ever or will ever be possible. 

A one state solution would never work

There is a reason that Israel has managed to become the most successful, vibrant, progressive and equal state in that region, despite having no oil and a fraction of the territory of other states, and having to constantly use so much of its resources for self-defence.

The central point that runs through Islam, is that Muslims cannot, because they do not want to, live in peace with any other religion.
