So many questions for ECB to answer

We really need to get a bit of clarity around the ECB and its role and responsibilities prior to 2008.

The euro crisis did not materialize out of thin air.

I came across something written in 1999 which I think all members of the Banking Inquiry would be glad to read.

The ECB were clarifying their role and reassuring us that with their regularity powers come also accountability.

If I were a member of the Banking Inquiry, I would do my utmost to question the ECB on how they fulfilled their role in the context of this document.
